Our Story and How We Got Here

The Kaylee Cares Foundation was established in loving memory of our daughter, Janell Kaylee Mitchell. Janell was a beacon of kindness and compassion, always ready to help anyone in need. Her generous heart led her to feed the hungry, clothe the less fortunate, and bring comfort to those facing hardships. She believed in making a positive difference in the lives of others, no matter how big or small the act.

Tragically, at just 22 years old, Janell's life was cut short in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. This unimaginable loss left a void in our hearts, but it also ignited a profound desire to continue her legacy of love and service. We created the Kaylee Cares Foundation to honor her memory by embodying the values she held dear and to ensure that her spirit of giving lives on.

Our mission is to uplift those in need, just as Janell always did, by providing essential resources like food and clothing. Guided by the love of Jesus Christ, we strive to bring hope and compassion to the lives we touch. Through this foundation, we aim to transform our grief into purposeful action, turning sorrow into a beacon of light for others.
